A good one. It is a healthy meal that you directly receive with the village crops. The ceiling is low, but the walls are all free. It is a quiet and comfortable atmosphere, with a view of the garden and a view of the garden.
Not sure if it s worth the wait. The price in the high end for this area. Daily menu reflects in season local produce. Pretty delicious, have a few special drink. Set menu of two or three choices. Food is good, certainly didn't live up to the hype nor worth the crazy wait.You might have to put u name down and hit a few other places in between. We came in mid September Friday and the wait was 1 hour plus. More than half of the seating is tatami.

Great experience.When I arrived in Toshima on the same day, there were only a few restaurants with business. There were only two types of packages. I chose the fried fish package. The meat was unexpectedly tender. Although there were fishbone, it could be easily removed. After eating half of it, the owner offered another piece of fish The name of the watch has been very annoying that my initial fried fish was too small, it was a whole surprise! Will visit again!

One of my favorite restaurant, possibly in the world.First the amazing architecture from Ryo Abe makes it a very unique place.Then, the food is simply amazing, made only from local products from the island, with recipes designed in collaboration between the old ladies from the island and some starred chefs from Tokyo.
Anyway the atmosphere is nice. It was a very hot day, but it was airy and a pleasant space. Curry can also be changed to sweet for children. I was sweet with coconut milk, but I felt a bit pungent, so it may be impossible for a taste sensitive child. All of the freshly baked vegetables coming with curry were very tasty. Excellent local food prepared by sweet old ladies. The fish was excellent and so was the cold side soup. The cake and ume drink were a real treat - they are not included in the menu, but you can order them after you seat down.Like most of the places on the island, you need a good dose of patience.They usually have two food options (fried fish or vegetable curry when we tried) and they tend to run out of at least one pretty quickly. They open at 11.00 and by 13.00 the fish was already gone.The place gets busy early. They take no reservations and have a waiting list by the door (write down your name and number of guests as soon as you arrive). We arrived at 12.00 and already had 6 people in front of us. Please, avoid showing up late as you might and up waiting and not get served - it happened to a friend.Overall, it’s worth the wait. The food is tasty well prepared and well presented. The staff is kind, although language is always a bit of a barrier in Japan.
